Our passion for electronics began in Poland, where our owner built do-it-yourself kits as a teenager. It grew into about 18 years of repairs. More than ten years ago we started EASY FIX Repair Centre in Scotland, on Norfolk Street. For almost three years we have worked from Shettleston Road, and we are really happy here.
With electronics, from DIY kits to board-level repair.
Serving customers across Glasgow and the UK.

Our workshop for almost three years.
Besides repairs, we sell accessories in our shop.

About 18 years with electronics, from DIY kits in Poland to board-level repair in Glasgow. Here at the microscope, checking a motherboard.
I started with soldering irons and DIY kits as a teenager, and I never stopped taking things apart to see how they work. Today I repair phones, laptops and games consoles, and I specialise in the jobs other shops turn away: dead motherboards, liquid damage, failed chips and data recovery. Every device is diagnosed under the microscope before I quote, so you get an honest answer and a fair price. When something can't be fixed, I tell you straight.

A burnt, damaged port removed and a new one soldered to the board.

Working on the motherboard itself, not just swapping parts.

A swollen battery can crack the case or the screen. We replace it safely.

Walk in at 870 Shettleston Road, Glasgow. Drop off a device, ask for advice or pick up an accessory.

870 Shettleston Road, Glasgow G32 7XN. Look for the yellow and black sign above the window. We buy, sell and repair, so you can walk in with a broken device, a question or something to sell. If you are not sure whether it can be fixed, bring it in. We will take a look and give you an honest answer.

Our display of consoles and laptops, and the counter where you leave your device. We log its condition when it arrives. That way we both know exactly what came in. You get a tracking number and can follow the repair online from the moment we start.

Screen protectors, cables, chargers and cases. The screen shows a repair we did that day. Everyday essentials for phones and tablets, so you can often sort a repair and the accessories you need in one visit.
A microscope bench, a BGA rework station, bench power supplies and measuring tools, all in our Glasgow workshop.

Our Glasgow workshop with the microscope bench, the BGA rework station and the main repair bench. Everything is within reach, which keeps repairs fast and tidy. Repairs are done on site in the shop, so you can see where your device is looked after.

Microscope, soldering and hot-air stations, bench power supplies and the thermal camera screen. Mario, our assistant, keeps watch. This is where most boards are diagnosed and repaired: we read the current draw, find the hot spot and then work on the fault under magnification.

Fine soldering on a laptop motherboard, with the board and every joint in full view. Under the microscope we can work on tiny components and cracked tracks that are invisible to the eye, which is often the difference between a repair and a replacement board.

Many laptops that will not start have a damaged BIOS or UEFI firmware. We read the firmware chip from the motherboard and open the dump in EASY FIX BIOS TOOL, a program we built ourselves for this work. It shows the platform information, checks the image, compares it with a known good file and repairs the damaged parts. Then we write the corrected firmware back to the chip. Everything runs on our own computer in the workshop, so your data stays with us, and it often saves a board that other shops call dead.
Every day we use these tools to find the exact fault before any part is replaced.
We power the board from a lab supply and read how much current it draws. That shows a short circuit or a dead section before anything is replaced.
A short circuit heats the faulty part. The thermal camera shows us which one, so we do not guess.
Under magnification we check solder joints, corrosion after liquid damage and tiny cracked tracks.
Controlled heat lets us replace chips soldered under the surface of the board, such as video and power chips.

The board's current draw and the live thermal image on one screen, so a short circuit shows up as a hot spot. We built this station ourselves, and it helps us find the exact faulty part quickly instead of replacing parts by trial and error.

Controlled heat lets us replace chips soldered under the surface of the board, with the temperature controlled step by step. This is how we change BGA chips such as graphics chips and console processors, while the heat is set to protect the components around them.
Short checks that sometimes solve the problem and always help us. If the fault is still there, send the device to us.
Work through these checks. They take a few minutes and tell us a lot.
If there is still no sign of life, if you smell burning, if it was dropped or had liquid on it, or if it switches off again by itself, stop trying. Repeated attempts can make a board fault worse. Choose “Will not turn on” in the request form and send it in.
What we do: we measure how much current the board draws from a bench power supply, look for a short circuit and find the faulty part under the microscope before we quote.
These checks rule out the cable and the TV before you send the console.
If another cable and another TV show nothing, or the port is loose or damaged, the fault is inside the console. A damaged HDMI port is a very common cause. Do not keep pushing the cable in, as that can damage the board.
What we do: PS5 HDMI port replacement is £59.99. If the fault is on the board, we find it first and quote before we repair.
Overheating has simple causes and a few serious ones. Start here.
If it still gets very hot or shuts down after cleaning, the cause may be dried thermal paste, a worn fan or a fault on the board. A shutdown with no warning can also be a power circuit fault. Choose “Overheating or shutting down” in the request form.
What we do: we find the cause first, then quote. Cleaning and a thermal paste change are not always enough, and we tell you honestly.
Liquid damage gets worse with every hour, because corrosion keeps spreading across the board. What you do now can decide whether we can save the device.
Sugary drinks, coffee with sugar, milk and salt water do the most harm. We cannot promise that every device can be saved. We tell you the fault and the price before you pay for any repair, and if we cannot repair it you do not pay for the diagnosis.
Chip-level repair on laptops, consoles and phones, including BGA chip replacement.
Cleaning and repair of boards after water, coffee or any other liquid. The sooner you send it, the better the chance.
No video, HDMI port damage, overheating, power faults and boot problems.
No power, no boot, charging circuit faults and screen problems.
Laptops that will not boot, stuck on logo or failing after a bad BIOS update.
Screens, batteries, charging ports and board faults.
Other consumer electronics. If other shops will not look at it, ask us.
No power, no picture, no sign of life. We trace the fault on the board.
Choose a diagnostic. We find the fault and tell you the price before we start.
Short, honest advice from a repair shop. Read these before you decide what to do with a device.
Batteries wear out with time and charging cycles. Before you replace one, check these causes.
If the battery still drops fast after this, shuts the phone off at 20 or 30 percent, or the back or screen is lifting, the battery is worn or swollen. Stop charging a swollen battery and bring it in.
What we do: we check the battery and the charging port first, and replace the battery only if that is the cause.
Often yes. A repair is usually cheaper than a new laptop, and you keep your files and settings. Use these questions to decide.
We tell you honestly if a repair is not worth the money. You decide after you see the quote.
What we do: we find the cause first, then give you a price. There is no repair without your approval.
Most repairs do not touch your data, but a backup protects you if something goes wrong. It takes a few minutes.
If the phone does not turn on, you cannot back it up. Tell us and we will do our best, but we cannot promise to recover data from a device with an internal fault.
What we do: we do not open or copy your files, and we do not wipe the device without asking you first.
A swollen battery is a safety problem, not only a repair. The battery gases push the case out and can start a fire.
If the device is hot, smoking or smells of chemicals, move away from it and call the emergency services.
What we do: we replace the battery safely and check the device for damage that the swelling may have caused.
Offices, schools and shops send us phones, tablets and laptops in batches. We keep it organised so you do not chase anything.
You deal with the same person every time, not a new ticket for each device.
See the status of each device in the batch, from arrival to return.
One clear invoice for the batch, listing each device and repair.
We send a price per device and you approve the whole batch in one go.
Regular care for office computers, laptops and tablets: repairs, upgrades and maintenance, so your team keeps working.
Maintenance and repair of school computer equipment: laptops, desktops and tablets. We keep your devices working so lessons are not interrupted.
A few words are enough. We reply by email and explain how we would handle your devices. You get a clear price for the whole batch before we start, and nothing is repaired without your approval. We can repair in the shop or by post, whichever suits you best.

No. We diagnose first and send you the fault and a fixed price. Work starts only after you approve it.
When your device arrives we run an initial diagnosis and send you the fault and the price. After the diagnosis and your approval, most repairs are completed within 24 hours. If a part must be ordered, we tell you before we start.
If we cannot repair your device, you pay nothing for the diagnosis. The diagnosis is charged only if you decide not to go ahead with a repair we can do. You pay for postage to us. If you paid online in advance, we refund the repair price within 5 working days, less the cost of posting your device back to you. Repair and postage are priced separately.
Repairs do not normally need your data and we do not browse personal content. We do not share it with anyone, and we ask for your consent before any factory reset or data wipe. If we need your passcode to test a repair, we ask first. Back up before you send, and change the passcode afterwards if you shared it.
Turn the lock off before you send it if you can. If you cannot, tell us when you book so we can advise you before you post anything.
Use a tracked service for the trip to us and keep your proof of postage. We return your device tracked and insured, once the return postage has been paid.
Call or email us with your order number and a short description of the problem. We tell you how to send or bring the device and check it. See the warranty section for what is covered.
Most repairs come with a 12-month warranty covering the parts we fitted and our workmanship. Batteries have a shorter warranty of 90 days. Accidental damage, liquid damage and new problems unrelated to the repair are not covered. We still look at unrelated problems and give you a quote. To claim, contact us with your order number.

Last updated: 21 October 2026. These terms apply to all repair services offered by EASY FIX Repair Centre, in the shop and by post. By booking a repair or sending us a device you accept them.
EASY FIX Repair Centre, 870 Shettleston Road, Glasgow G32 7XN. Email: easyfix.glasgow@gmail.com. Phone: 07933 773841. Registered company: -EASY FIX- REPAIR CENTER LTD, registered in Scotland, company number SC652077.
We repair laptops, games consoles, phones, tablets and other consumer electronics, including board-level repair, BGA chip replacement and recovery after liquid damage. We carry out our services with reasonable care and skill. We may refuse a repair if a device cannot be repaired sensibly or if we reasonably suspect that it is stolen.
You can book a repair on this website, by phone or in the shop. We diagnose your device and send you the fault and a fixed price. We start work only after you approve it. All prices are in pounds sterling. Prices do not include VAT, as we are not VAT registered. You can pay online when you book, in the shop, or after the repair is finished. For mail-in repairs, when the repair is done we send you a payment request for anything still unpaid and for the return postage, and we send the device back once the payment has cleared in our account. If you collect it in the shop, payment is due at collection. We may ask for a deposit when parts have to be ordered. We accept cash and card, and for mail-in repairs also bank transfer. If you book more than one repair at the same time on this website, a multiple-repair discount is applied automatically to the repair prices (diagnostics excluded) and shown before you confirm. It cannot be combined with a promo code or with the student, NHS and senior discount.
Send your device to the shop address only, and do not post it to any other address. Use a tracked service and keep your proof of postage. You pay the postage to us. When the repair is done, we send you a payment request that includes the return postage, charged at cost, and we send your device back tracked and insured once the payment has cleared in our account. The repair price and the postage are priced separately.
After the diagnosis and your approval, most repairs are completed within 24 hours. If a part must be ordered, we tell you before we start and give you an estimated time. Repairs can take longer because of queues, part availability or non-working days, such as Sundays and public holidays.
If we cannot repair your device, you pay nothing for the diagnosis. If you decide not to go ahead with a repair we can do, the diagnosis is charged. You may cancel a booked repair before we start work. If you book from a distance, you also have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking under UK consumer law. If you ask us to start work within that period, you pay for the work already done. To cancel, contact us by email or phone. If you paid online in advance and we cannot repair your device, or you cancel before we start work, we refund what you paid for the repair within 5 working days, to the payment method you used. We deduct the cost of posting your device back to you, and any diagnosis fee that applies under this section. The postage you paid to send the device to us is not refunded.
Most repairs come with a 12-month warranty on the parts we fitted and our workmanship. Batteries have a 90-day warranty. There is no warranty on diagnosis alone or on liquid damage recovery, because corrosion can return. The warranty does not cover accidental, physical or liquid damage that happens after the repair, or problems unrelated to the repair, and it ends if someone else opens or repairs the device after us. To claim, contact us with your order number. More details are in the warranty section above.
During diagnosis and repair we do not delete, copy or open personal data on your device, such as photos, messages, files or apps, unless you ask us to or the repair needs it. If a factory reset or data wipe is necessary, we ask for your consent first, and we ask before using your passcode. Please back up your data before you send the device. Data may already have been lost before it reaches us because of physical, software, liquid or electrical damage, and we cannot guarantee data recovery where a device has internal or software damage. We treat all customer data as strictly confidential and never share it with third parties.
When your repair is finished we contact you. If the device is not collected within 90 days of that notice, we send a final reminder to the email address and phone number you gave us. If there is no reply within a further 30 days, we may sell or recycle the device to cover the cost of the repair and storage.
We are not responsible for loss of data, for damage caused by misuse after the repair, or for delays outside our control, such as postal disruption. Where the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the repair. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud, and it does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
Please use this website lawfully. Do not copy its content, introduce malicious software or try to gain access without permission. The text, logo and images belong to EASY FIX Repair Centre.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the version in force on the day you book applies to your repair. These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction, but this does not take away any rights you have as a consumer where you live.
When you pay online, the payment is handled by Stripe, our payment provider, and we never see or store your full card details. Depending on your device and location, you may be offered Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut Pay, Klarna, Clearpay and other methods. Klarna and Clearpay are optional pay-in-instalments services provided by those companies, not by us. They have their own eligibility checks, approval, limits and terms, and may not be offered for every order or every customer. Any instalment agreement is between you and that provider. If we refund you, the refund goes back through the method you used, and Klarna or Clearpay adjust your instalments under their own terms.
If you have any questions about these terms, contact us at easyfix.glasgow@gmail.com, on 07933 773841 or at 870 Shettleston Road, Glasgow G32 7XN.
